Steve Robinson - Board Member
Steve Robinson is a visible leader with a record of creating and sustaining superior business performance. In addition to his role with SCG, Mr. Robinson currently oversees PaperPak Products, Inc. as CEO. He holds a BA in finance and a BS in psychology from Michigan State University.
Mr. Robinson possesses proven experience in value creation, turnarounds, and transitions with a variety of companies. Litton, a microwave oven manufacturer, increased in value over 400% after Mr. Robinson converted the company from a branded product to a private label manufacturer in just two years. Annual profit was increased from a negative $12mm to a positive $11mm.
As an entrepreneur, Mr. Robinson has had many achievements as well. While in college he created a healthful fast food concept and attracted VC money. In 9 years, this chain of stores—called Thirsty’s, Quenchers, and Surf City Grill—developed into 36 locations. He also created a worldwide branded children’s game, World POG Federation, which was the game of the year in 1995.
Mr. Robinson has been a member of the Young Presidents Organization since 1988 and is a past chairman of the California Southwest Chapter. He has received a Six Sigma Black Belt from Villanova University.
